Cheryl Russell

 

 

Cheryl was raised in Parkdale, 17 miles south of Hood River in the foothills of Mt. Hood, on an apple and pear orchard.  She has always been surrounded by fresh produce and her grandfather was an avid mushroom hunter. Cheryl was the oldest of 3 girls and helped her grandmother and mother with the meals so she’s always been comfortable in the kitchen and around the stove.

 

While working in TV she met and worked
with Horst Mager and his family on many food related events. She also assisted many visiting chefs and cookbook authors when they made appearances on local live programs.
 

After her many years in TV, Cheryl worked at a local Deli where she prepared food for the deli case and also worked with a wonderful BBQ Pitmaster  from whom she learned a lot about Southern food and BBQ. For many years, Cheryl has also assisted chefs at various cooking schools and worked with local winemakers.

 

For the last 18-10 years, Cheryl has donated her
time to support a very worthy cause, Taste of The Nation. She is also very active with Wednesday's Child Foundation  which provides help for foster children.
 

About 6 years ago, Cheryl was introduced to Diane Morgan, local cookbook author, and has been assisting her on various projects
ever since.

 

And now Cheryl is in her dream job at In Good Taste, assisting guest chefs, managing special events and helping you, our guests, plan that special party or get together.
