Heather Staten
Heather began her cooking career in 1988 at Oliveto, the San Francisco Bay Area’s acclaimed Italian restaurant and her cooking is imbued with the ethics of California Cuisine, an emphasis on the very finest seasonal, local organic ingredients. Following several years as the executive chef of Rocinates, a Mediterranean restaurant in Bristol, England (and a perennial honoree in Britain’s Good Food Guide and the events caterer to Prince Charles at Highgrove), Heather returned to the U.S. where she has continued her career as a caterer and private chef. She strives to translate and demystify the classic techniques that she learned in fine restaurants so the nonprofessional can cook with greater skill, confidence and understanding.
