From her days
as chef and manager of the renowned Chez Panisse in Berkeley to her own
International Cooking School in San Francisco, Joyce Goldstein is known to one and all.
For 12 years Joyce was also the chef and owner of the Square One Restaurant
in San Francisco. She has authored a number of award-winning cookbooks,
including Back to Square One, The Mediterranean Kitchen, Cucina Ebraica,
Enoteca, and Saffron Shores. Her new book, Solo Suppers,
is due out in September. Joyce writes for many publications including Gourmet
Magazine, the San Francisco Chronicle, and Food & Wine. Focus magazine chose
Joyce as its “Chef of the Year” in 1992, and she received a James Beard
Award in 1993. Joyce teaches at a number of cooking schools including Ramekins, Draegars and the Culinary
Institute of America at Greystone in Napa.
