Soraya Runckel

Born in Bangkok, Thailand, Soraya graduated from the prestigious Chulalongkorn University in foreign languages.  After she met her husband, who was a U.S. diplomat to Thailand, she took classes in Thai classical cooking from Busaracum Cooking School.  Busaracum Cooking School was famous for its recipes, delicate dishes, and beautiful vegetable and fruit carvings.  In her classes, Soraya recreates the tempting and delicious recipes from her homeland. She sometimes demonstrates carving of vegetables, such as cucumbers, carrots, peppers, and fruits, such as watermelon, to decorate her cuisine and table.
