Hands on Indian Curry Workshop with Suneeta Vaswani
In this hands on class, you will learn how to make these fabulous dishes from Suneeta’s new cookbook, ‘Complete Book of Indian Cooking – 350 recipes from the regions of India’.
Born in Bombay, India, Suneeta Vaswani emigrated to the U. S. in 1977. Suneeta is active on the Houston culinary scene and has a wide range of teaching experience. She has been featured in several prestigious publications, is a member of International Association of Culinary Professionals (IACP) and the Houston Culinary Guild, and is recognized as the leading Houston authority on Indian cuisine. Her first cookbook ‘Easy Indian Cooking’ was published in early 2004. Her second cookbook, The Complete Book of Indian Cooking, is due out this Fall.
Bengali Shrimp Curry (Chingri Macher Malai) A classic dish to honor sons-in-law, respected individuals in a Bengali family. Silky and subtly seasoned shrimp with bay leaves, cinnamon and ginger paste in a creamy coconut milk sauce.

Garhwali Jaggery flatbread A recipe from the far north, this special occasion sweet flatbread is perfect with a cup of tea or coffee.
