Burgundy Wine Dinner
Join our resident wine expert Lisa Shara Hall, as she leads us in a dinner celebration of Burgundy. With her passionate love of the wines of that special region, she will share her insights as we taste the wines and enjoy a delicious classic Burgundian meal.
This incredible evening will begin with a reception with Champagne (Okay, that’s not Burgundian, but we do deserve good bubbly to start!), followed by a 4-course pairing menu developed by the wonderful chefs here at In Good Taste.
Under Lisa’s guidance we have selected white wine for the first course from a recent outstanding vintage and producer, followed by two Red Burgundy wines from recent, superbly rated vintages, including one from 2001, which Burgundy guru Clive Coates has called "unexpectedly good, especially in the Cotes de Nuits".
And we will pour an older vintage to show you what happens when you allow great Burgundy to age. That is why a famous writer has said, " Of the 100 best wines I have consumed, 90 have been Bordeaux. Of the best 10 wines I have consumed, 9 have been Burgundy."
