Searing Mastery with Brian Kerr of Morton's the Steakhouse
There’s nothing quite as satisfying as a perfectly seared steak or piece of fish, with a deep brown crunchy crust and a yielding, succulent interior, bathed in a luxurious sauce. While home cooks rarely attempt seared dishes at home, searing doesn’t have to be reserved for professional chefs. You can easily learn the techniques of the pros.
And, who better to teach you than Brian Kerr, Food and Beverage Director for Morton’s the Steakhouse?
Brian Kerr has been teaching cooking classes for the past 5 years. He began cooking professionally in 1986 after learning the basics at his mother’s and grandmother’s side. His first stint as an Executive Chef began in a pub in Corvallis, soon beginning work in restaurants and country clubs, a boutique hotel in Cannon Beach, and a summer in a Russian fishing camp. Brian loves to cook for his finicky kids, creating memorable meals for his family and friends and community.
