Chef's Challenge
Before you come to the kitchen, we’ll spend time planning your event. We’ll customize a theme and a menu based on your input and our culinary expertise. Our chefs have mastered many cuisines and are well-seasoned in global styles of cooking. We take the fear factor out of the equation for you. We are accustomed to working with people who are comfortable in the kitchen, with people who are afraid of the kitchen, and with people who don’t really care about the kitchen.
When your team arrives at In Good Taste, we will rev up their palates with beverages and appetizers served in a relaxed social setting. Once they’re settled in, we introduce them to the chef, instructors, and staff. The chef will then walk them through the menu, the tasks, the challenges they face, and will help them work their way to a perfect presentation as part of a gourmet meal. At the end of the session, we will debrief by talking about what we have learned, what were the challenges, and how they were overcome.
There are no cookie-cutter events at In Good Taste. We custom design each menu and each session. We have a number of different chef challenges; each is designed for the skill levels of the team, and to meet different budgets:
The Chef’s Ultimate Challenge – “Chopped” Black Box Tapas ~ recipes are not provided!
$1250 for 8 or less people; $150 for each extra person
“Iron Chef” Style Challenge ~ secret ingredient but we do have recipes on hand as a "life line", if needed
$1500 for 10 or less people; $125 for each extra person
“Top Chef” Style Challenge ~ a theme menu - recipes are supplied; each team is judged on 3 criteria
- Menu choices from the following selection: Pacific NW (local), Mediterranean, Italian; French; Thai; Indian; and more....
$1000 for 8 or less people; $125 for each extra person
"Chili Cookoff" ~ each team is judged on their dishes
$1000 for 10 or less people; $75 for each extra person
