Wendy Lincoln

Picture
Wendy is a native Oregonian and host of the locally produced cooking show Hot Kitchen, and author of Date Night at Home:  The Ultimate Cookbook for Two.  In 2009, Wendy and her husband Tracy began producing Hot Kitchen after a walk on the beach.  The inspiration for the show was the crumbling economy that made it impossible for many people to go out to eat.  The two of them wanted to demonstrate that even when money is tight it is possible to enjoy a romantic night at home complete with fabulous food.

In 2004, Wendy graduated from Le Cordon Bleu Portland at the top of her class.  She was driven to learn, so she interned at two remarkable restaurants:  Wildwood, with Chefs Corey Schreiber and Adam Sappington, and Mark’s on the Channel with Mark Allstetter.  After graduation, Wendy was able to pursue either a service or kitchen career.  She chose service because cooking was her passion and artistic release.  By 2009, Wendy was ready to start sharing her love for cooking with the world.  She began to share her passion for cooking and baking as the host and co-producer of Hot Kitchen.

From the time she was big enough to peek over the counter she has been cooking and baking.  Wendy’s first culinary memory is making bread.  One day, when she was about eight, she found herself flipping through The Joy of Cooking and the Wilton Cake Magazine, fascinated and inspired to learn it all.

Wendy is thrilled to be part of the team at In Good Taste Cooking School.  As she says, “It is a blessing to be able to do what I love and share it with others.”
